NFL Week Ten Preview: Chicago Bears at Oakland Raiders

  at

This weekend, due to circumstances beyond everyone's control the Chicago Bears will be in Oakland.

The Bears are going through the dreaded Super Bowl loser hangover scenario, something to which Raiders fans can relate as our team has been suffering from this for the past three and a half years.  The defense has fallen apart, and the offense... um, yeah.  Let's just say it's making the defense look good.

Meanwhile, the Raiders are stuck in their own mediocrity rut.  Adding injury to insult, both starting cornerbacks (Nnamdi Asomugha and Fabian Washington) are banged up and may not play Sunday, or at best will be at reduced capacity.  Something in theory the Bears could exploit, but we are talking about a team with Brian Griese at quarterback.  And the Raider Nation thinks it has issues with Josh McCown under center.

Given how neither team can stop the run, expect to see lots of Justin Fargas for the Raiders and... oh, wait, that's right, the Bears are even worse at rushing than passing.  Expect to see lots of Justin Fargas.  And on local TV, too; the game is sold out.  Weird.

Ah well.  Maybe it'll be an entertaining game anyway.  And did you know the Raiders are only two games back in the AFC West?  Hey, stranger things have happened.
